Michigan won by one point, and the market moved two against them
The AP’s first real poll of 2026 lands tomorrow. Oklahoma’s number moved without waiting for it — and the college title board already disagrees with the voters about Oregon.

The number
Michigan beat Western Michigan 13–12 on Saturday — on a Hail Mary, after replay officials put one second back on the clock. They won. The market did not care.
Oklahoma opened −4.5 at Michigan for Saturday and now sits at −6.5. Two full points against a team that won its opener. That is the market telling you it read the box score, not the scoreboard — and it is the widest post-Week 1 move on the board.

Oregon is the disagreement. The voters have them second in the country. The money has them seventh, behind a defending champion at No. 6 and a Miami team that was unranked in the market a month ago. Oregon beat Boise State by seven at home — a result that kept them out of the record books and, apparently, out of the market’s good graces.

Futures watch
Mensah went 401 yards and five touchdowns on 90% passing against Stanford and took the Heisman lead outright. His receiver Toney — twelve catches, 234 yards, three scores — came from +4000 to +1500 on the same afternoon. Two Miami players in the top seven of a market that had neither of them a week ago.
The Rams at +500 are the market’s clearest conviction anywhere: they traded for Myles Garrett in June, then Aaron Donald unretired at 35. Five books, one price, no disagreement.

The AP releases its first in-season top 25. Every “Week 2 poll” you have seen so far is a projection. We will run the new poll against the same title board and see whether the voters move toward Oregon’s price, or the price moves toward the voters.
